Our parties are taking a break!

Kingfishers’ Forest School parties will not be running over the coming months, but please check back to this page over the summer. We will let you know when we will open for bookings again – watch this space!

The Kingfishers’ Forest School Team

Our children’s parties run for 2 hours, all year round and in all weathers.

They are held in our beautiful private woodland at Willsbridge Mill – the perfect location to delve into nature, get muddy, play to your heart’s content, and most importantly, celebrate your little one! All of our party staff are qualified Forest School Leaders with years of experience working with children, and a real thirst for fun and adventure!

Party order of activities:

  • Welcome games
  • Marshmallow treasure hunt
  • Stick whittling and toasting s’mores
  • Craft activity
  • Free play: mud kitchen, charcoal painting, digging bed, skittles, climbing frames, seesaws, rope swing
  • Hot dog/party food time and singing happy birthday!
  • Game/story/song
  • End

Cost

  • £135 for first 10 children
  • £10 per child after than aged 1 and over

Parents

All parents are required to supervise their own children at all times.
Parents of the birthday child might wish to bring cake, party food or party bags.

We ask that parents of the birthday child please provide hot dogs/buns for your guests. We will cook these on the fire for you. Please note: to minimise our impact on the environment, we request that vegetarian hot dogs are used, not meat.

We will provide s’mores – please let us know of any dietary requirements in advance (eg vegan/gluten-free biscuits/marshmallows).

Please bring bin bags for your rubbish and take it home with you.

Frequently Asked Questions:

It there a toilet?

There is a compost toilet in our woodland and a public toilet with changing facilities at the cafe, which is open Weds-Sunday.

Is there buggy parking?

There is no buggy parking under cover so please bring your pram rain cover. We can offer tarpaulins to drape over your prams as an extra cover if you need them. Alternatively, bring your little one in a sling or walk to us, where possible!

Parking & Location

Our private Forest School is situated in the woodland behind the cafe.

Please be aware that it can take a little while to walk to us from the car park, which is situated on Long Beach Road.

Please avoid blocking the road by parking within the Willsbridge Mill site itself, as it prevents the bin collectors and cafe delivery drivers from accessing the Mill
